On Wed 21st Nov a group of Transition year students travelled to the Aras to witness their Excellencies, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh present their Letters of Credence to the President.

The new ambassadors are:

• H.E. Mr. Michael Mubea Kamau, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya.
• H.E. Mrs. Aleksandra Joksimović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia
• H.E. Ms. Saida Muna Tasneem, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

The Ambassadors were accompanied to and from Áras an Uachtaráin by an Escort of Honour consisting of a motorcycle detachment drawn from the 2 Cavalry Squadron, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin making for a wonderful spectacle for the students to witness.

The students were delighted to chat with President Higgins and his wife Sabine before enjoying some refreshments inside the Aras. It was a most memorable occasion for the staff and students. Click below to view the photo gallery.
