Congratulations to our first year boys soccer team who have won their All Ireland semi final today. They beat St. Colman’s College of Fermoy 3-1 in a penalty shootout. Clane took the lead in the first half after Daniel Malone was taken down inside the box and Clane were awarded a penalty. Ruadhan Kane converted from the spot to give Clane the lead at half time. Colman’s got a equaliser halfway through the second half. They finished level 1-1 at the end of normal time. After a tough battle during extra-time the game finished 1-1 and penalties were left to decide a winner. Fintan Agnew pulled off 3 top class saves denying St. Colman’s. Clane won 3-1 in the shoot out and now face St. Joseph’s College of Galway in the All Ireland Final. The Final will take place on Thursday the 23rd of May. Venue to be confirmed.
