Message from Principal

On behalf of the management and staff of Scoil Mhuire, I want to wish all our students and families the best of health over these next few weeks as we face the challenge of the coronavirus.

Our teachers are working hard to support your learning using technology platforms. I am asking the students to engage actively and daily in the lessons and assignments provided by your teachers. This will allow you to continue with your learning. From today, Wednesday 25th of March we are hoping that you can follow the school timetable on the e -learning platform. Be responsible for your learning and work to the best of your ability. The more effort you put into your learning now means we can catch up with the curriculum quiet quickly when school resumes.

At present the Junior and Leaving Certificate exams are still going ahead as scheduled. I know this is a stressful time for our exam students. Make out a good study plan if you have not done so already. We all learn by asking questions, so study by doing questions. Your teachers are willing to correct them. Just keep working to the best of your ability.

Hopefully it will not be too long before school can resume. Follow the instructions of social distancing and self-isolation where needed. We can all play a role in stopping the spread of the virus.

We look forward to your return to school. Meanwhile I hope you and your families stay safe and healthy.

Padraig Nolan
