Well done to the Minor and Junior athletics team who participated in the South Leinster Track and Field Championships in Waterford yesterday. The girl’s minor 4 x 100m relay team (Kaitlin Howard, Hannah Kelly, Anna Hawkins and Julia Hawkins) progressed from their heat to reach the final where they finished 4th. The boy’s minor 4 x 100m relay team (Daniel Malone, Billy Ging, Óran O’Grady and Connor Walsh) also made their final and came away with the bronze medal. There were individual successes with Oran O’Grady winning the silver medal in the high jump and Conor Walsh winning gold in the javelin. Again, well done to all and many thanks to the parents who helped and supported on the day.

Good luck to Conor and Óran who will now represent the school in the Leinster finals in a few weeks’ time.
